Madhavi Thailam was the very first collection of oils imported from Thrissur, Kerala under the HaircareByMon brand — marking a new chapter in our journey with traditional Ayurvedic wellness.
Unlike Mon’s Oils, which are personally formulated and handmade by Monica herself, Madhavi Thailam remains untouched in its original Ayurvedic composition. These formulations are not modern recreations, trend-based interpretations, or recipes tweaked for commercial appeal. They are presented exactly as they were intended to be — deeply traditional, highly potent, and rooted in generations of Ayurvedic expertise.
The only modern touch we occasionally introduce is scent — carefully added to create a more sensorial and enjoyable oiling experience while preserving the integrity of the original formulation.
Produced in some of Kerala’s most pristine and hygienic Ayurvedic manufacturing facilities, Madhavi Thailam is created by experienced practitioners and manufacturers who have spent decades understanding the science of Ayurvedic oil preparation. Every stage — from ingredient sourcing to brewing and bottling — is handled with precision, consistency, and deep respect for traditional methods.
Ayurvedic oils originating from Kerala are often known for their potency, and Madhavi Thailam is no exception.
These oils are intentionally formulated for maximum efficacy on the scalp and hair — designed to absorb beautifully, work deeply, and deliver concentrated nourishment without unnecessary fillers or dilution. The texture is lighter and faster-absorbing than Mon’s Oils, making Madhavi Thailam especially loved by those with oily or combination scalps, finer hair textures, curls, waves, or anyone who prefers a less heavy oiling experience.
At the heart of Madhavi Thailam are some of Ayurveda’s most respected ingredients:
- True Indigo (Indigofera tinctoria) — traditionally used to support scalp health and strengthen hair
- Bhringraj (Eclipta alba) — often regarded in Ayurveda as one of the most revered herbs for hair wellness
- Indian Gooseberry / Amla (Phyllanthus emblica) — rich in nourishment that helps support shine and overall hair condition
- Lesser Balloon Vine (Cardiospermum halicacabum) — traditionally used to soothe and comfort the scalp
- Goat’s milk, buffalo’s milk, cow’s milk, and coconut milk — blended to create a uniquely conditioning and balancing oil base
Madhavi Thailam represents our commitment to bringing authentic Kerala Ayurveda into modern Singaporean homes — without diluting its roots, traditions, or potency.
